Suspension

Dear Readers,

In light of my abysmal standing in the polls the current financial crisis, I have decided that I must suspend all activity on The Neighbors Will Hear so that I can try to figure out some way to pull my campaign out of the crapper focus my attention on helping our leaders transfer still more money from the middle class to hedge fund managers bring our economic system back from the precipice. I understand that some other bloggers who are less white self-sacrificing than I may not choose to follow my lead, and that, of course is their choice. Far be it from me to suggest that they are Black unpatriotic. I will return to blogging tomorrow/as soon as I can think of a less easily disproven lie with which to slime my opponent/when I've memorized which countries are members of NATO when political economic circumstances permit. Thank you, and God bless the United States of America.

I'm glad you Americans aren't quite as gullible as we all thought when you were taking Sarah Palin seriously as a candidate for one-breath-from-the-presidency.

Franck, I've been doing my best to avoid thinking and posting about politics, and usually I just shrug at whatever the Republicans do, but the Palin selection actually offended me because it was so bad and so transparently pandering. Nonetheless, I regret to inform you that, at any given moment, somewhere between just under and just over half of the American electorate really is that gullible. I expect Senator McCain to continue this sort of gimickry right through election day.
