Clearly They're Not Paying Him Enough at His Day Job

According to the New York Times:

Spitzer Is Linked to Prostitution Ring

I was shocked! Now don't get me wrong. I'd do him:

But I wouldn't pay to do him. (Oh shut up. You all thought the same thing when you saw the headline.)

I was reminded that Dr. Faustus' long-time boyfriend's initials are E.S. Perhaps this is all a part of the airing-out-the-dirty-laundry process that often precedes a wedding. Faustus always claimed that E.S. was a doctor, but one professional's pretty much the same as another, right? You can see why he'd want to change that detail. I have some trouble seeing Faustus as a step-father to E.S.' three children, but I guess that's something they'll both have to work out between themselves and with the soon to be ex-Mrs. Spitzer. Such drama.

I'd say that they may be paying him too much. Did you see where those "business associates" charge $3,100 a hour.

I don't know about you, but I don't think any sex is worth $3,100 an hour.

Obviously, the govenor doesn't know about CL.

Hmmm, I dunno, Paul. There are a few things to keep in mind.

It's NYC, where, from what I hear, $3,100 is just about enough to get you drunk at a bar.

I tend to think that any amount of money is too much to pay for sex, especially when there's so much of it available for free. Given that there does seem to be a market for it, however, I'd certainly be willing to offer my service (free of charge, even!) as a quality control assurer. Just hook me up with all the escorts in an area, and I'll assign each of them a rating. To make it more valid and scientific, I won't even ask what they would customarily charge if they were charging. Then the relative ratings and the local cost of living and other market factors can set the actual price.

It sounds a lot like the American way to me.
